Verse
Just as I am enamored of the lowest form of humor, the pun (per preeminent pedagogue/lexicographer Dr. Samuel Johnson), I have a likin’ for limericks, the lowest form of poetry. To date I have written more than 2,000 five-liners, with a goal of at least 3,000. In them, I try to combine wit and filth, in more than an assonant sense.
Occasionally I take a stab at other than anapestilential poetry, some of which I’ll post periodically.

Give Me Five
Lyric beats ought not raise a shiner.
To my peepers and ears, naught’s finer
Than a suite, metrically
Beats 3-3-2-2-3
In a sweet yet cheeky five-liner.
