Aside from being a lex maniac, John A. Barry is an author, avocational artist, parodist, poetaster, punographer, and former editor. He is the author/coauthor of 12 books, including Technobabble (MIT Press 1991, 1993) the definitive work (for the time) about the conflation of technical and marketing “jargot” (a portmanteau neologism combining jargon and argot).
